Monday July 7 Winter is not the easiest time of the year The tracks vary so much at this time, and so quickly. If you take Brisbane as an example, no tipster would have had the gall to suggest that it would be a virtual swamp by 2.30pm! Still Winners to Follow held onto Sea Battle won $2.90 and Final Look identified Stavka won $4.80. That was as good as it got. We did find the one of our two legs of the trifecta (after last week we were quite confident, but it was a very exciting finish). Our old mate almost grabbed the Queensland Cup. What a bargain he's proved to be. Will he have a rest now? We doubt it!
Saturday July 5 Season Winding Down, but the Winners will Still Be There. Let's hope that a lot of members have bulging pockets after last Saturday. The season winds down, but there's life yet. This weekend we have the Winter Cup and the Winter Stakes at Rosehill, each worth $100,000. Flemington hosts the Grand National Steeple at a quarter of a million dollars!!! And they have the Winter Championship at $200,000. Then there's the Banjo Paterson carrying $100,000 for the stayers. A nice day. Eagle Farm has the Queensland Cup at 3200 metres and going for $150,000. And don't look now, but there's our old mate again.... be nice if he could pull one, wouldn't it? Jon Hudson and his team are sitting down to sort it out for members. On past performances, members can be looking to some pretty interesting selections. Incidentally Jon has just completed the second part of his long interview for Practical Punting Monthly. The first part is in the currently available July issue (Level Staking v. Progressive Staking). It's a good read.
Monday June 30 Members Must be Very Happy with these Results It WAS a good day, wasn't it? TRIFECTA ATTACK (usual method, one race): 12-5-3 $848.60 ULTIMATE BET: (three selections). KING'S FIRST won $5.60, PINNACLES won $8.00, SNORT second. PROFITMAKERS:(two selections). SEA BATTLE won $8.00 PLACE PARLAY: Three from four.
Saturday June 28 More Good Racing Opportunities for Members The big meeting north of the NSW border is at the Sunshine Coast. There are two large fields for the 1400 metres handicap and the 2400 metres Cup, both carrying listed status. Our old mate Sky Biscuit is up there again. He must be one of the most regular commuters they have! Rosehill hosts a programme of moderates, but there will still be eight winners and Jon Hudson will set about finding the best of them. Flemington will be the venue for the Grand National Hurdle and the Crisp Steeplechase, named after probably our best-ever jumper. It took Red Rum and a weight difference of no less than two stone (28 pounds or nearly 14 kilograms) to down him, inside the final hundred yards, in that memorable Grand National! Saturday's race is not quite of that level, but there are some very promising steeplechasers engaged. The flat racing will be highly competitive too. Cheltenham offers a pretty mediocre meeting with low prizemoney, but again we echo the old Hudson maxim that there's a winner in every race.
Monday June 23 Trifecta Joy for Members Members got the Trifecta in the Group One Winter Stakes at Eagle Farm with Absolut Glam defeating Fritz's Princess (field for third- one trifecta race is selected every weekend). It paid $372. One to Score found Nuclear Medicine, heavily backed to pay $2.20. The Place Parlay found three of four including the winner of the big race.
Saturday June 21 Some Great Northern Racing Programmed Rosehill has its Stayers Cup. Wouldn't it be nice to see Sky Biscuit take out the race? Still, sentiment aside, Jon Hudson and Team will analyse every aspect.
Moonee Valley has smaller stakes and very ordinary fields, but they are well graded, so there should be something there for the team to sift through.
Eagle Farm leads the way with the Healy Stakes, the Tatts Cup, the Classic Mile and the very rich Winter Stakes (Group One).
That latter event, for fillies and mares, brings together a fascinating mix, with several top females.
Should be a fascinating day up there!
Monday June 16
Winners Scarce
Winners were not easy to find on Saturday, but Ultimate Bet started well with Prima Nova won $2.40.
Profitmakers found a winner with Distinctive Lass won $4.20 over a distance she favours.
One leg of the Daily Double was successful with Eagle Rock at $3.80, but the first leg couldn't make the grade.
The Ipswich Cup was marred by a bad fall with four horses coming down.
Saturday June 14
On with the Jumpers
The Australian Hurdleand the Australian Steeplechase will highlight the meeting at Sandown Hillside this Saturday. Team Hudson will examine each very closely, and of course the weather patterns as well. If Jon decides to go for a selection in either of these races, rest assured he has put in the hours. And if not, he doesn't see value anywhere there. Jumpers can be fickle.
Randwick has a very ordinary programme, but then as Jon Hudson has said many times, there is a winner in every race, and finding a $5 winner in a $60,000 race beats the heck out of finding a $5 loser in a million dollar affair!
But of course the attention of the majority will be on Ipswich for its carnival. The Eye Liner (now there was a filly!) promises to be a very exciting race, and the listed Gai Waterhouse fillies and mares' classic brings together a nicely balanced field. The Gold Cup may have suffered a bit from having the Brisbane Cup, reduced to 2400 metres, run last Monday. Still, it's a test for the team!
Eight selection buttons over there on the left to be checked before the races, and of course the sports bets as well. Best of luck to all members.
Monday June 9
A Girl's Day Out
The QTC Derby win of Riva San spelt out her class. Is she another of those coming four year old mares that go through the northern winter?
Ultimate Bet got a winner with Red Element ($3.80), whilst the Daily Double hit the second leg with Mr Celestial ($5.20) but missed the first.
Red Element was also one of the two Winners to Follow that raced on Saturday.
Profitmakers got Millenium Express, backed off the board to $1.50.
It's worth noting the State of Origin recommendation from Sports Betting (which predicted Ana Ivanovic to win the French ladies' singles).
Saturday June 7
A Big Day in the North
Saturday promises to be brighter in Brisbane (Eagle Farm) for the running of the Derby and the Stradbroke Handicap. Of course the weather forecasters can be compared to some tipsters, but let's hope they are right and things clear up somewhat! The Stradbroke is too tight to be confident about, but members might note that Vormista, considered to have had an unlucky campaign to date, has superb wet track credentials. She is one of the contenders that Jon Hudson is examining very closely.
The other races should also be keenly contested events. Team Hudson will assess them late Friday in an attempt to put the latest weather together with the form.
Randwick's June Stakes is a well balanced field. The rain is thought to be shifting down, so again the Hudson Team will be looking at these aspects. It's interesting that all the other Sydney races are worth the same amount ($70K)- it's a genuine winter meeting.
Flemington is on much the same level with two $100K races and the rest back in mid-seventies prizemoney. These races can be quite tricky challenges and it will be interesting to see where such boxes as Ultimate Bet and One to Score end up.
As usual, there is a range of opportunities, and as always a little bit of luck helps! Good luck and successful punting to all members.
Monday June 2
Psst... Wanna Winner???
We have got into the habit of
producing the WRITTEN evidence from the weekend, so here are the ONLY THREE Hudson selections for his ULTIMATE BETS :Saturday May 31
Tips from JON HUDSON
BEAMING (Flemington R4/1) WON $5.00
Good runs at both her latest starts indicate Tony Noonan has this 3YO filly in top nick. She came from 10th on the turn to finish well for an 1100m wins at Caulfield on May 10 and that followed her 3rd at Moonee Valley 1200m on April 25. Down on 55kgs after the claim, and nicely suited at 1200m from the inside gate, Beaming ranks highly.
SYNONYM (Rosehill R3/2) WON $3.00
Gerald Ryan's 5YO could not be racing in better form. In today's race he has 54.5kgs after the claim for Mitchell Beadman and this means he's only 1.5kgs above the Limit (53kgs). With wins at 1600m and 1800m at his latest starts, Synonym is well placed to notch the hat-trick.
HOLDEM (Rosehill R5/5) unplaced
Goulburn trainer Danny Williams places his horses with great shrewdness and he's shown his usual skill in getting 2 wins from 3 starts with this 3YO gelding. The latest win was over the Canberra 2000m trip on May 23. Today's race looks the logical next step.
The trainer of Holdem complained that Holdem was stirred up by unbelievable noise from a band right next to him before the race- how many times do senior clubs have to be told before they get the message about this sort of thing? It used to be very loud spruiking tipsters, and now it's back to the old problem- a loud band! Well, the horse was very short and many members may have shied off, but those other two great winners were beautiful.
As the man says, "two out of three ain't bad".
Jon produces the goods!
You see it above. You see it below. And YOU can join, over there on the left, at the top; there are lots of goodies every week and (surprised?) we are NOT expensive.
Saturday May 31
Onwards and Upwards
The Queensland Oaks, the Sires Produce, and the O'Shea Stakes.
What a trio!
Jon Hudson has just completed a major interview for the July issue of Practical Punting Monthly. In it he refers to his selection processes. Not to be missed when it comes out in a couple of weeks. We'll remind you when it hits the stands.
The head of affairs at Saturday Punter is at present examining the Eagle Farm final acceptances. What a day it is, and what a long weekend to follow it!
This weekend the QTC Cup and the Dane Ripper Stakes are screamers. Such powerful fields!
And the Grand Prix...
And the Conrad Treasury 3yo...
What a day!!!
And you know what?
Jon and the Team will look at Sydney, and Melbourne, and wherever they think there is a winner for members.
Scroll down, read the evidence.Monday May 26
Hudson Goes Further Afield
Let's start with an Ultimate Bet:
FELINE FLYER (Gold Coast R4/13)
Gillian Heinrich gave this 2YO filly her debut run at Doomben and she did very well to finish 1.9 lengths 4th to Acorns over 1200m on May 10. The formline looks strong. Back on her home track, the Catbird youngster should be able to post her first win.
Won, and shows again that Jon Hudson will cast a wide net in his search for a winner for our members.
His One to Score was MOATIZE... well, anyone who saw that race knows that nobody could pick the winner. Tough one, but there'll be another day. A Derby or a Cup for Bart, maybe?
Over the period we have provided great winners in all those boxes on your left.
Some members have their favourites, others follow them all. Even on the toughest weekends we manage to find something for members to take home. How many services do you know that put it up here on the Monday, EVERY week? Nowhere to hide if it just misses (like Moatize). EVERY week Saturday Punter reports the winners.
And members renew- enough said?
Saturday May 24
Something for Everyone
Well this weekend we have the famous Doomben 10,000 and with Apache Cat, Reigning to Win and the classy mare Vormista we have a race!
There are so many exciting aspects of being a member of Saturday Punter.
The Ultimate Bet (scroll down and check).
One to Score (scroll down).
Winners to Follow (check this one)
Final Look (ditto)
And of course good old Profitmakers, faithful friend of punters.
Did you finish up with Rok Posta last Saturday?
(Members did... every single one of them).
Monday May 19
Some more fresh Evidence of Winners
Another example or three? OK, try this as an ULTIMATE BET:
SYNONYM (Rosehill R6/2)
Gerald Ryan has this 5YO in sparkling form. He ran 5th at Hawkesbury 1600m on April 17 and followed up with a stout win over the Randwick 1600m trip on May 3. He's being stepped up to the 1800m mark in today's race but gives every indication he will handle it OK.
SYNONYM WON $4.60 for Nash Rawiller.
WINNERS TO FOLLOW:
JAZZELLA (Doomben R6/9), EL CAMBIO (Doomben R8/2)
One winner from two. Jazella probably aimed a bit high today.
Now try this:
FINAL LOOK:
Saturday, May 17, two selections:
Flemington R6: (14) GOOD RED,
AND
Flemington R8: (19) ROK POSTA
WON $9.40
Another one from two... but WHAT A WINNER TO GO HOME WITH!
And PROFITMAKERS found Sydney Race 3 - TAB No. 7 (Royal Rock) WON $3.00
The evidence keep rolling in, doesn't it? Week after week...
Saturday May 17
Members' Focus Moves Northward
The Civic Stakes ($100K) and the Lord Mayor's Cup will ensure that punters are well catered for at Rosehill, with some of the better horses still in Sydney and competing keenly there.
Flemington stages the rich Gibson Carmichael, the Straight Six (always a hard race!), the Houlahan Hurdle ($100K) and the fascinating 3200 metres (listed) Andrew Ramsden Stakes. You'd reckon that, for the owners of a two miler, this is the easiest two hundred grand they'll ever get near. But it isn't easy to sort out, with such a tight field of would-be stayers! Members will be happy to let the Jon Hudson Team do the work!
But Doomben offers a half-million dollar Doomben Cup, along with the Darley Sprint and their own Lord Mayor's Cup both at the six figure mark. Then there's the Glenlogan Park and the Roses, both way over the $100K mark, and we can toss in the BTC Classic and the two year old Classic, again both in excess of the six figures, and a very competitive handicap to round off the programme.
Nice pickings! As always Doomben will not be a picnic for punters, but those boxes over on your left will do the best job possible for you- and at a VERY reasonable cost.
Click on the top at the left to find out more; You won't regret it.
Scroll down to see what's what.
Rich Racing and keen horses competing! Hey... Come on in!
Monday May 12
Some Days are Diamonds
We ended the day with Tedriffic won $3.10 winning the last at the Gold Coast. Some days are diamonds, as said. This was a hard day and we struggled.
Scroll down and see the Diamonds.
With the rich Brisbane pickings coming up, members' thoughts may go back to last year when we picked up some tremendous results. Jon Hudson has that same team behind him for 2008.
Note that if you were on Ortensia at Caulfield you get your money back as it was a barrier scratching.
Place Parlay found Fravashi won $1.90, and so did Profitmakers.
Trifecta Attack was half right with Rabbuka won $3.50 but we missed with the second horse.
A day of close but not quite close enough... after such a day we have invariably bounced back with the goods, so watch out for next weekend! Chances are it will be a humdinger.
And by the way, the SPORTS SELECTIONS are sitting on a couple of bold selections- will they come off? If they do, members will be cheering.
Saturday May 10
Northern Excitement
Focus shifts north now, and again the Hudson Team will examine all major meetings to find best value for members of Saturday Punter. Specifically the interest might be on Doomben this Saturday.
The weight for age BTC Cup is a great race with top horses. Apache Cat, arguably the best sprinter in the land, Swiss Ace which might be a very, very good sprinter... but is he this good at this elite level? Is Vormista up to this, with the turnaround and the long journey? Team Hudson will be looking at all aspects.
The Chairman's Handicap and the three year old Doomben Classic are worth going a long way to see, and to invest on if you know what you're doing. Then there's the Golden Stakes and four other lesser events; but they are very keen races too.
Hawkesbury has a fine programme. Check the Guineas.
So has Caulfield with that Blue Sapphire for two year olds, worth $100,000.
All in all, wouldn't you rather be on the inside looking at all the goodies?
Scroll down if you need any further evidence of the value to be had.

More Good News
There has been very positive reaction from our listing actual summaries by Jon Hudson and team, so here's another from last Saturday:
ONE TO SCORE
NEDIYMS DREAM (Randwick R1/5)
John O'Shea's 3YO filly certainly left her luck back in the stable last week when she ran 4th/15 at Listed level over 1200m at Randwick. Glen Boss ran into all sorts of trouble on her over the final 200m and she did well to surge home only 2.5 lengths from the winner. This looks the right time to move her up to the 1400m mark. There's a change of rider, too, with Hugh Bowman taking over.
Nediyms Dream won at $4.70. Nice start to the day?
PLACE PARLAY
RANDWICK
Race 1 (5) NEDIYMS DREAM
Race 2: (9) LITTLE SAI WAN
Race 7: (3) PENTATHON
Race 8: (2) CASINO PRINCE
That's a return of $10.60. A $20 bet produced a return of $212.
Join us for the Brisbane carnival. It's easy and it is NOT expensive!
Saturday May 3
The Fun Continues
On Saturday at Randwick we'll see:
We will see the Sydney Cup, the Queen Elizabeth (good horses here!!!) the Champagne Stakes (here too- can Sebring do it???), the All Aged Stakes (and here! Group One, all class), the Emancipation Stakes (great females here), the Frank Packer Plate, the Inglis Classic, the James HB Carr, and a nice little handicap to round off the nine race program.
Wow!!! Best Racing.
What a day.
Soon we'll be off to Brisbane.
It keep right on going doesn't it? Next thing we'll be into the Stradbroke and the Doomben 10,000 etc etc.
But wait there's more...
The Hollindale and the PM's Cup at the Gold Coast are on this weekend.
Who needs Hudson?
WHO DOESN'T???

Review of Clients' Bets
Let's check out another reason for backing a winner, as we've been doing.
This is from:
ONE TO SCORE.
Just ONE, remember. Here it is, exactly as clients read it:
Tips from JON HUDSON
SWISS ACE (Eagle Farm R7/8)(won $2.70)
Mick Mair's 3YO is one of the most exciting gallopers to emerge in Queensland for some time. He's won 8 of his 10 starts and comes in here off a Weetwood Handicap win at Listed level at Toowoomba 1300m on Apr 10. He won over 1110m at Doomben on March 29. He's had 4 runs at 1200m and won them all, and has won both his starts at Eagle Farm, one of them at 1200m. This is a tough assignment but this colt is a very slick type who should be able to dominate from the inside gate.
This was not our best week, but this assessment shows you what we do and how carefully the analysis is thought out. Our clients like this very much and have come to expect it of Team Hudson.
Every week we set out a list of our very best chances. Scroll down to look for yourself.
Ask why so many clients resubscribed in what is a highly competitive world.
It had a lot to do with value!
It always does.
Saturday April 26
Now Here's a Program to Whet Your Appetite!
Eagle Farm, Cheltenham, and Sandown (Hillside) are on Saturday, April 26.
And SO IS
RANDWICK!!!
The DONCASTER, as well as the fantastically exciting T J SMITH STAKES, the SIRES PRODUCE, the ADRIAN KNOX, the CHAIRMAN'S HANDICAP... the CARBINE, the FERNHILL, and the BELL.
All for big money, four of them GROUP ONE, all listed or above.
Wow! What a day for Members of Saturday Punter, with JH to guide them through the very likely wet conditions.
Apache Cat versus Takeover Target. What a T J Smith that is!
A very even and exciting Derby- can Dealer Principal do it again? The favourite is drawn well but can he take advantage of it? And that Doncaster. Is it a year for a filly? Hot Danish from the front? Serious Speed late? Team Hudson will examine the whole thing and will decide for members if value exists, and where.
Scroll down, if you need to, to check us out. What a great day this is lining up to be!

Some Examples from Saturday
An ULTIMATE BET winning example:
VANDALO (Caulfield R7/1) WON $3.20
Although up 2kgs in weight after his last start 1400m win at Caulfield, this 3YO from the Lee Hope stable appears to hold an edge over his rivals at the same trip. He won decisively by 2 lengths on April 5 when having his third run back from a spell. Lee Hope's runners usually maintain form very well. Vandalo is a proven winner at Caulfield and has a 50% win strike rate over the 1400m trip (2 wins and a 2nd from 4 tries). The final bonus is Steven Arnold aboard!

Adelaide Race 1 - TAB No. 9 (Aladah) WON $4.10

So Whom Does the Shoe Fit?
Gai thinks she will have both feet in the slipper. First and second. And she may well be right.
David
has four feet trying for the winning shoe! And then there is Bart, with a maiden swooper, maybe a very good one indeed, and South Aussie Leon Macdonald with the prized draw. One of the Team Hudson members was sitting at the window this morning, gazing at the skies. They may yet have a say in the result this year!
And the BMW. No great shakes, you think? Well, it has the quinella from the Mackinnon and the Australian Cup (Sirmione and Princess Coup) running, and also the star local Tuesday Joy. Now there's a threesome you'd walk a long way to watch!
Sydney, Rosehill, will be the place on Saturday. Team Hudson will examine two great races above, and the Ryder, the Royal Parma, the incredibly talented Coolmore, the Tulloch Stakes, the Arrowfield and the well-balanced listed Schweppervescence.
Where the best value winners look to be, they will go.

Monday April 14
A Hard Day Indeed
A big weekend indeed it was, but one that left the Hudson Team shaking their heads. A hard, hard day, and one that many players would like to forget. What eventuated was that there were several close chances in most races, and picking the ultimate winner was always going to have an element of luck associated with it.
Profitmakers alone can hold its head up. This is interesting, because the only other time there was a weekend when Saturday Punter didn't make at least two or three killings, it was followed by a fantastic Saturday. So be ready, the worm turned last time... why not this time too???
Unlike some, we tell it like it is. This was not our finest weekend, not by a longshot. BUT next Saturday is Golden Slipper Day and NOBODY has a better record with that race than Jon Hudson.
He's been itching for this one to come along. He will await the barrier draw and then set on it like a dog with a bone. Rest assured, nobody will have put the time in like Jon will.
And those other amazing races. We'll update the whole thing later in the week, but be ready with your finger on the starting gun, Team Hudson is confident!
Saturday April 12
A VERY Big Weekend!
This weekend is a blinder- great racing, especially at Adelaide and Sydney. Team Hudson is already studying fields for clients.
Morphettville features the Derby and the famous Goodwood Handicap. A large field of runners in the Goodwood means high level action and great prices.
Meanwhile in Sydney, Rosehill hosts the final chance for a handful of hopefuls to crash their way into the Golden Slipper. And there are also the Guineas and the Manion, along with several other big races.
Again Jon Hudson has been buring the night oil to unavel the mysteries.
Do we win?
Scroll down for indisputable evidence, week after week.
Are we expensive?
No. Quite the opposite.
Monday April 7
More Evidence from the Horse's Mouth
Here you are. AGAIN. Just as it was on the website for clients.
ULTIMATE BET:
ACEY DUCEY (Canterbury R4/5)
Darren Beadman is booked for the ride on this useful 3YO colt from the Grahame Begg stable and the presence of 'the maestro' will surely give him an advantage. He looked decidedly unlucky last start when a nose 2nd at Randwick 1300m RB86 on March 22. This will be his third run from a spell and Begg is likely to have him at peak.
CONISTON GEM (Caulfield R6/2)
It's a mystery what happened to this smart 6YO mare last start when she ran poorly to finish last of 10 in the Grp 3 Victoria Hdcp at Caulfield on March 24. We should perhaps ignore that run and judge her instead on her 1400m win at Flemington in Grp 3 on March 8. She's won 3 of 7 at the distance and has the same strike rate at Caulfield.
Look, it wasn't as great as last weekend, but there you have exactly what members read.
ACEY DUCEY WON AT $6.00
CONISTON GEM WON AT $5.50
Amazing tipping from the Jon Hudson team.
Best run all day? Jon felt that the run of Princess Coup had "Rosehill/Randwick" written all over it, and that the Canterbury track contour proved not to be in Sirmione's favour. He's now asking: why not yet another quinella from this fine pair in the BMW?
Members will be able to read his final thoughts on April 19 IF he believes the race is bettable.
There's never been a better time to join!
Saturday April 5
Can we do it Yet Again?
Are there any non-members amongst readers? It's hard to imagine why. Scroll down and have a look at the documented results. Week after week.
And...
We are NOT expensive.
OK, down to business. Can we do it again?
Rest assured we will be in there trying.
And members are NOT complaining!
Canterbury is where the main action is.
Queen of the Turf, always a top race for the ladies, headed by the top mare Divine Madonna. We've got some pretty good stuff here. Camarilla, younger and very exciting, ought to be ready to give the older mares a fright. The only worry is that track; Jon Hudson and Company will be onto that aspect.
The Ranvet. "Time honoured" as they say. Australian Cup winner Sirmione appears in Sydney for the first time this season. Again the track contour will be of tremendous interest to Team Hudson.
Racing to Win is scheduled to resume in the Canterbury Stakes. That would be worth going a long way to see.
And the Todman Stakes. Two year olds looking to qualify for the Golden Slipper, as the girls will be in the corresponding Perfect Vision Laser Stakes.
Then we have the Sky High with young Musket, three quarter brother to Makybe Diva, and the Phar Lap Stakes for a number of staying possibilities, including of course the grand old man of Sydney racing, County Tyrone.
Don't forget the Anniversary Vase in Melbourne and there's some great competition in Adelaide.
Brisbane's fillies and mares listed event, the Bright Shadow, looks a beauty too.
Look on your left. Great ideas from the start, and they all find winners.
REGULARLY.
Are members lucky, or what?

More proof and you can fill in the details- prove it to yourself!

ULTIMATE BET:
STRIPPER (Randwick R5/3)
David Payne's filly has run three excellent races so far in her career. The most recent saw her finish 2nd to Sugar Babe over the Rosehill 1200m on March 8. She chased hard and was beaten only a half length by a very highly regarded customer. She will give today's race a big shake.
ONE TO SCORE:
ZARITA (Morphettville R6/1)
Moving up to 2000m, this Pat Hyland trained filly should be right at home. Hyland has always stated she'll do better the further she goes. Her last 2 starts saw her win at 1600m at Grp 2 level at Caulfield and Flemington. She comes in to today's race at peak fitness and form.

ULTIMATE BET:
HANNA ROSSA (Caulfield R6/1) e/w(WON $9.50)
With only 2kgs above the Limit, after the claim for her apprentice jockey, this 5YO mare, trained by the in-form Tony Noonan, looks nicely suited in this 1100m dash for fillies and mares. She resumes from a spell since June 30 last year but her first-up record shows 2 wins and a 2nd from 3 tries. She's a winner and placer at the track, and has had 2 runs at 1100m for a win and a 2nd. She'll get back but she does pack a big finish.
MAJORCA (Doomben R6/5)(WON $3.00)
Rob Heathcote has this 5YO in excellent form. He turned in a huge effort to finish 4th at Listed level at Eagle Farm 1600m last start, and that followed 2nds at Eagle Farm and Doomben in February. He's won 4 times at the mile and has won 3 of his 9 outings at Doomben. A plus is that Glen Colless takes over.
and a neat SPORTING TIP:
At home Newcastle ($2.35) to beat Manly ($1.55) in the NRL. Newcastle kicked off the season in sensational fashion last week against Canberra - Manly was pedestrian and nowhere near their last season form that took them to the grand final.

Saturday March 22
Things are Getting Very Exciting in Old Sydney Town.
Randwick is where the principal action shifts this Saturday, commencing the big carnival.
The Galaxy is a disguised flying handicap, apart from the top two, which should be able to share the spoils. Magnus is very, very fit at present, and handles the Sydney way superbly. But of course Jon Hudson and his giant-killing team will look at all aspects!
The Group One Chipping Norton is a mouth-watering race. Racing to Win is not going after the Doncaster, so this is his first consolation step. The run of the gallant young mare Tuesday Joy, robbed of her chances of spring glory, will be very interesting, and also from a middle distance viewpoint.
The Liverpool City Cup features some of our best sprinter/milers. It's a real humdinger and will keep our celebrated Team Hudson busy over the next couple of days!
Scroll down if you are new, and see what this team can do!
The Wiggle Stakes has some pretty nice mares involved. And again as to the females, the Group Two Surround Stakes will tell us a lot about the three year old fillies. Bart's chosen entries will attract a lot of attention here. Jon is very keen on last start winner Occurrence to rise to great heights, whilst Mimi Lebrock, which played up last weekend, has accepted too. They are drawn alongside each other on the outside, which will make things a little more difficult to unscramble.
And also we have Doomben and Oakbank. Caulfield's Easter Cup will show us whether Douro Valley is going to share any glory this autumn. It's surely his turn, but the weight and the price will prey on Team Hudson's collective minds!
Can we match last week's performance? And the week before's?
Why not???
Monday March 17
Getting On With It.
That's what we do best.
So, last Saturday will sound like a repeating record if you are not a member.
IF YOU ARE A MEMBER YOU ARE LAUGHING!!!
ULTIMATE BET: DOUBLE DARE won $4.70
ONE TO SCORE: TRANSLATE won $3.00
FINAL LOOK: DEALER PRINCIPAL won $5.30
PROFITMAKERS: TENANT'S TIARA won $12.00!!!
How many bets? Final Look had ONE. Profitmakers had TWO. Utimate Bet had THREE (one of the others was second at $10).
And of course One to Score... had ONE!!! Here's how members read it:
Tips from JON HUDSON
TRANSLATE (Flemington R6/8). This 4YO mare has a last start 2nd at Group 3 1400m level to indicate she's a big chance in today's race at 1600m, a distance at which she has shone before. In fact her peak performance rating was achieved at the mile when 2nd to Divine Madonna at Flemington.
PROOF? You just read it.
Saturday March 15
Beware the Ides of March!
So said the soothsayer to Caesar. Well, members need have no fears of March 15 with the fantastically successful Jon Hudson team doing their analysis.
Look at the results below. No more to be said there.
How will Team Hudson go about it again this Saturday? Let's take the $1 millionGolden Rose at Rosehill and see what Jon has to say, even this early.
" I see this as a match beween the boys and the girls. Prepost odds are tight and offer few chances for anomalies, but Mimi Lebrock at $7 (best on offer) might be a go. She was barrelled out of it last start. I will need to weigh up her chances against El Cambio in particular, and also the state of the track will matter.
"They'll have their work cut out with Forensics (a last start winner) from that bad barrier and Kingda Ka also has to find a possie. Triple Honour won brilliantly last start and might be very good indeed. Barrier 8 is not ideal, but not as bad as the other two have drawn.
"David Payne is very pleased with Vecchia Roma and has booked Ollie. Damien knows the track and won the Golden Slipper on Forensics last year. Solo Flyer will give a sight. He's been promising to do something since that northern close run last year.
"Friday morning we'll all sit down and put these horses (and of course the others) through our analytical programmes. I expect to be able to weigh the boys against the girls, but at present a few of those barriers really would worry me."
So there is Jon Hudson, more than three days out from this one race. He is carrying a couple of dozen other events in his head too, sifting, elminating, saving...
And members are SO GRATEFUL!!!

Big Days Ahead- Proof Below
It's a question of leading horses to water for some people, and when we are asked how we can demonstrate our successes, we say "have you scrolled down the open page of the website?"
Amazingly, some people haven't. More amazingly, some have and are still debating whether or not to join. So, again we say, scroll down and see for yourself. Seeing IS believing.Saturday has three BIG races at Flemington- the Newmarket, the Cadbury Guineas and the famous Australian Cup. We have the team to sort these races. Remember, there is more to these group one events than the favourites... much, much more.
And Rosehill offers the Winning Edge Apollo Stakes, and the Triscay Stakes. Also the Parramatta Cup, where members will be grateful for a leg-up if the team spots one. Nine fascinating races on the card.
So this IS the place to be. Not sure?
Even yet???
Well then... find out all about it.
NO OBLIGATION!

Monday March 3
And He Won at $6.50
It's probably time to show you what happens inside one of those doors over there on your left. Well, here is an example. Unedited, just as members read it on Saturday morning.
Proof? Here it comes, and the biggest race of the day.
NICONERO (Caulfield R7/1)
Suited by the WFA conditions, this smart and often unlucky 6yo gets a good chance to break through following his luckless 2nd in the Grp 1 CF Orr Stakes at Caulfield 1600m on February 9. He's won 3 and been placed 6 times at Caulfield. Craig Williams will have to ride him for luck because he's a horse who likes to get back and then produce a big finish.
A great Ultimate Bet from Martin Dowling as guest tipster! Niconero WON $6.50. More evidence of what Saturday Punter can do.
So, what are you waiting for now?
Saturday Punter is indeed a class act. Get on board for the autumn carnival!!!
Saturday March 1
WAS $1363 ENOUGH?
That's what the Blue Diamond Trifecta paid, and
members got it by linking the $56 Winners to Follow Quinella with the Ultimate Bet.
Very sweet.
Caulfield has some great racing this Saturday, such as the Autumn Classic, prior to the $700,000 Futurity Stakes. Now this will be a race and a half. Jon Hudson and the team will be buried away studying the acceptances.
This is followed by the JRA and the Victoria Gold Cup, intriguing races.
Randwick has the Challenge, the Light Fingers, the Royal Sovereign, all six figure prizemoney events; the Breeders Classic and the Clissold are also in the hundred thousand bracket.
Want more? The Breeders Plate, the Gimcrack, and a very interesting welter. In fact nine great races. Lee Freedman was set to bring Sugar Babe up from Melbourne for the Gimcrack; then possibly for the Slipper, if not for Brisbane.
Jon and the Team will be looking very hard at this filly as she takes on Montana Flyer and other young potential stars.
Rest assured, and just remind yourself by scrolling up and down, that THIS is the place to be!
Monday February 25
Pssst...Want a trifecta?
Try: Blue Diamond
$1363Ultimate Bet identifies Burgeis.
Winners to Follow names the quinella: winner Reann and runner-up All American $56.70
One to Score missed with Sirmione but he paid $3.50 the place!
Place Parlay found the first three races in Melbourne.
Final Look: Brief Finale won $5.60/$2.20.
Not bad? Better than that.
Saturday February 23
There's A Lot to Like About Saturday
Saturday has some tremendous racing, especially at Caulfield. The Oakleigh, the Blue Diamond, St George Stakes, Carlyon Cup, and the Mannerism are five of the nine fantastic contests to take place.
Over on your left you see what Saturday Punter offers members. Scroll down to see how members benefit from the expertise of Jon Hudson and his professional team.
Damien Oliver, riding with zest at the moment, has a nice book. The Oakleigh has three, if not four, potential Newmarket runners, probably the four most likely to challenge last week's great Australia Stakes winner Apache Cat.
The St George Stakes should tell us plenty about the Australian Cup chances of several top horses. The Hudson team will look very closely at the St George, and at the Blue Diamond, which is open as the Sydney Heads, but with an eye on real chances for the future as well.
Don't forget the Expressway Stakes at Canterbury either. Seven runners and what a great contest! The Hudson team will really take that one apart!
This is an all-year service, profitable and reliable.
To join just click over there at the top, on your left. You'll be VERY surprised how reasonable the cost is.
Monday February 18
Were You IN... or OUT???
Winners everywhere. Simple as that. Members are happy. What more can be said?
Ultimate Bet: one win and two places from three.
Place Parlay: FOUR FROM FOUR.
One to Score: One half head second from one pick.
Daily Double: Triple Honour won $3.10. Second leg ran second.
Trifecta Attack (one race only): Scorched Earth paid $11 to $14 on the TABs. Didn't get the other horse up, but many members back both to win (see references as you scroll down).
Profitmakers: one from two- Triple Honour won $3.10
Sports Betting: A nomination for the winner of the FA Cup that will surprise many members. Not the team you'd expect. Not Chelsea, so who? Our intrepid tipster is in his element in these situations.
Well, if you missed all these, and you DON'T want to continue just reading about them... you know what to do...
It's up there on your left...
Saturday February 16
What's It All About?
No, not Alfie, unless that's you. We mean what's this website all about? Members re-enrol in droves, so we must be doing something right.
Scroll down and have look at the results. This list is a matter of public record.
Now go to yourleft and look at those buttons. Every single one operates every weekend with great recommendations. Long term they all fire brilliantly. Short term they support each other and all our members admirably.
We're getting into the autumn carnivals. This Saturday Moonee Valley hosts the Alister Clark and the Australia Stakes, and we see Apache Cat,with a great barrier draw, attempt to break his ordinary record at the track.
Of course while he has an ordinary record there, his second-up record is brilliant, so the bookies will take few chances! Jon Hudson and the Team are already examining the fields for any likely overlays.
Randwick, Eagle Farm, Cheltenham, and of course the Valley. The Hudson pack won't let a meeting go, and quite often they toss in a great selection from one of the minor tracks. They really are like a pack of ferrets, never relenting.
Want more details? Up there on your left, in the corner. No obligation!
Monday February 11
The Big Wet
Not an easy day for anyone,
with the weather conditions anything but great. But there were some interesting pointers for the future, especially from the C. F. Orr Stakes.
Jon Hudson felt confident after that race that he had pinpointed three good things for the future, and he is equally confident he now has a pretty good handle on the Australian Cup, to be run in a few weeks. Rest assured he isn't resting on his laurels.
Winners to Follow found HUSSTA LA VISTA won $2.30.
Place Parlay yet again found three placings in Melbourne- close.
Profitmakers found a winner VIVACIOUS SPIRIT won $3.10 but by and large they were scarce today.
After his New York Giants selection last week our sporting man has gone in on an English soccer tip that will knock the sox off the timid-hearted. At this moment we don't have result, but he has that knack of bringing them in!
Saturday February 9
The Time is NOW
When you find the C. F. Orr Stakes on the Caulfield programme, you know that the autumn carnival is about to swing into full action.
It's time to join, if you are still sitting, watching and wondering. Find a Saturday Punter member and ask. Ask them why they renewed recently.
Ask them how many winners they get.
And what prices they get. And ask them if they enjoy their racing.
Today there's a lot of good racing, including the two Blue Diamond Preludes.
Two big stakes sprints before the C. F.Orr. The Orr itself boasts a fantastic field with a very hot favourite but a swag of chances.
And it's followed by a listed, set weights 1400 metres event to maybe tell us more about the potential of the top three year olds.
Some of the choicest three year old fillies in the land turn up at Rosehill. But what role will the barriers play?
Doomben has as tricky a card as ever. Jon Hudson will cast a very professional eye over that one!
This is the place to be, folks. Join us up there on your left, at the top.
Monday February 4
Early or Late- Winners are Winners
Sometimes they win the first.
Sometimes you wait all day.
And then they win the last.
The winners continue to come.
Final winner Sydney- Viewed won $3.70 for Ultimate Bet and as second leg of the single Daily Double (leg one ran second).
Final winner Brisbane- Bear Country won $6.50 for Final Look.
Note that there were a couple of scratchings for Profitmakers, so make sure you get your money back.
Members went home very happy.
Again.
Saturday February 2
Another Month, More Profit
February already. Members are way in front. Are you a member? Sometimes they come early. Click over there on your left at the top. Very good price and very good selection service!
Doomben has one of those steady programmes that lack sparkle, but often come up with some surprise results. Around this time last year members were getting some nice returns. Members know that on their own they would have a real challenge with such a meeting, but the Hudson team really goes for the jugular!
Rosehill raises the money and quality bar a bit, and the Starlight Stakes in particular brings a few old faces back into racing focus. Knowing how they have returned after EI is vital for the team.
But Flemington is where the money really is. $200K for the Vanity- a hard race for three year old fillies, and another two hundred grand for the C S Hayes Stakes. Some of the best young males in the land return there. Jon Hudson is working on that event right now.
And THEN we have the $500K Lightning with Miss Finland and the flying machine, Gold Edition.
What a race!!!
The final two races are also attracting our team's attention. There might be a goodun hidden there.
Join in the fun and the profit!Monday January 28
If the Right Hand Doesn't Get Them..
Then the left one will, as the old song says. And it's been so, week in, week out, for Saturday Punter. This past Saturday it was Profitmakers:
Raqas won $3.50
Doug's Mate won $1.80
Winners to Follow had a placing with:
Tranquility Base, paid $4 the place.
Trifecta Attack found: El Meroo won $9.90. Many members who are backing both nominations will have profited from this one at such a good price, even though the other missed out.
Place Parlay again hitthree out of four.
Daily Double won the first leg with Pay Me at $2.20.
Ultimate Bet found God's Hand won $1.95 to start the day well for members.
And in the Sports department we had Maria Sharapova:
Tipped for members last week at $7, won the women's singles. Now there's a VERY nice one!
It's time to join or renew. Are you new to Saturday Punter? You can't afford to miss another weekend!
Saturday January 26
Happy Holiday Hunting Day!
Randwick has nicely balanced holiday card including the Australia Day Handicap.
It will be necessary for members to go carefully here, especially as Gai Waterhouse has very few acceptors. That's unusual for Randwick!
Eagle Farm has a challenging card too, with an enticing $100K race for the fillies and mares.
Our Number One ExpertJon Hudson is examining it closely.
Caulfield will present a challenging programme, one which members will be grateful to have assistance in solving. Melbourne has often come up with a fantastic Ultimate Bet or Final Look selection, so be on the lookout for one of those down there!
If you are new to this website, just scroll down and see for yourself what you get for a few dollars a week. We haven't even mentioned most of the attractions.
Value for money?

Monday January 21
Profitmakers Starts the Day Well
Saturday Punter started well on January 19, when Profitmakers hit with the first winner in Melbourne with Whisper Bay won $7.00. It was a great price and ensured a profit for this reliable and consistent plan.
And Final Look saluted with Road to Athens won $3.40.
Winners to Follow was "kicking the cat" after three second placings from three picks. Close, and a good sign for its sustained form in 2008.
Sydney's weather deteriorated to such an extent that the track was in poor order by the end of the programme, but the win of Eremein was heartening for all racegoers.
Racing will continue to be even more exciting as the best horses, such as Eremein, step out for the big money coming up. Join or renew now, at around about the cost of a mug of cappuccino. You can't afford not to!
Saturday January 19
Another Great Weekend Coming Up!
We had such a top Saturday last weekend that the only question in new members' minds is probably:
"How long has this been going on?"
Well, it's getting on towards a year actually, give or take. Scroll down and see the long term results for yourself.
And last weekend was a bottler!
But regulars know that it's not unusual.
Anyway, this Saturday brings us the Festival Stakes at Rosehill. Some interesting runners in the compact field, and Jon is already attacking the form with confidence and gusto. The other fields, all at around $65K, are very promisingly bigger than in the past few weeks. Members will be grateful for the Hudson Team's help. It's really good to know that areas such as Ultimate Bet and Final Look sift things down to the very bottom line!
Flemington features the Chester Manifold and the Victoria Stakes. The National Jockeys Trust makes a trio of $100K races. Big fields too, meaning more analysis. No worries, you're with the right team.
If you are not a member... (how could that be after the evidence below?) ...
Well...
Just click on the button at the top, up on your left. There's absolutely no obligation to find out about us, and when you do, we think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the reasonable rates.
Nothing to lose, so much to gain, by being on the inside.

A Lot from a Little?
6.8.9.8.11.10.11.12
What are they?
They are the numbers of starters in the Rosehill races on Saturday. Not huge, but improving slowly. A maximum of 75 runners in eight races, an average of around 9 or so.
Not bad, and just the kind of race meeting where our members can expect Jon Hudson's team to uncover a couple of goodun's.
That winning trifecta last weekend started some members with a nice, healthy balance and they are now sweating on Saturday Punter to find more and more winners, just as we did all through 2007.
The Underwood Cup poses a question for the team: has Newport had enough racing to be competitive here, or can giant-killer Party Crasher go right on with it? It's a nice sort of race to assess.
Caulfield has a balanced programme with the Dillon and the Rubiton worth a hundred grand each. Interestingly, though, they too are very small fields. Small, but not easy. Professional help needed!
Ascot races, together with Morphettville (its Classic Mile is its only race with decent saturday prizemoney, but then a $6 winner in a $15K race is every bit as useful as a $6 winner in a $100K affair!).
On the other hand, Doomben has TEN races, some very well populated, and starts at (wake up early!) 11am!!! Mitanni, regardless of the 61 kgs, will be a hard act to toss with Shane Scriven on top.
You can join us for the whole year at a very reasonable rate. Click over on your left at the top. Or scroll down first and check out the past figures.
Why would anyone risk missing even one more weekend of success?
Monday January 7
Sometimes You Just Have to Wait...
Some weeks we hit with the first race. Scroll down and you'll see cases where we hit both the Sydney and Melbourne first race winners.
However...
Sometimes you go close, very close... but you don't quite hit. For example our ONE Daily Double had seconds in both legs!
However... as we say... just wait a bit...
We have just ONE trifecta combination every week.
That's all we have, trying to snare the first two places. It was on the FINAL race at Randwick on Saturday, and it paid $294 for Interfere/Black Piranha/Hotel Casino.
Nice way to end the day?
Members certainly thought so.
Saturday January 5
It's a New Year and Away We Go!
Sydney has an interesting, if challenging, programme, with fields of seven, seven, six, etc, right through to Race 8 where we have 16! And the little fields are every bit as difficult as the big one, so Jon Hudson will have his work cut out for us.
Can Takeover Target carry 61 kilos and win the Villiers over the reduced distance of 1400 metres? No doubt he will feature in one of the several exciting members' envelopes, just there on your left.
And speaking of 61 kilos, up at the Gold Coast, Mitanni also carries that huge weight in their big Goldmarket Handicap. The weather may play a role there! (late note from JH- meeting abandoned.)
Sandown has one of those $50K days- all day. Very tricky, and expert advice needed! Ascot is the same- all around the $50K mark.
Morphettville has a mediocre day. But you know, Saturday Punter has had some great successes with those "ordinary" meetings!
Last week was a beauty. Can we go one better?
Welcome to new members and so away we go for 2008.
Monday December 31
Ultimate Bet? Yes! One to Score? Yes Indeed... and More.
A very pleasant day for followers of Saturday Punter.
That's what it's all about.
Winners? Try these.
Ultimate Bet turned up Monicablinco won $4.40 and then in the next race Miss Gundowring won $4.80. An all-up at starting price would have paid $21.
One to Score did just that- AGAIN: Let Loushe won $4.20.
The Daily Double hit in ONE BET: Miss Gundowring into Let Loushe at $11.30
It was a nice weekend to end the year. Profitmakers still didn't make it. Next week is its turn, we'd reckon.
The open front page suggested a nice start with Baadi Blasted and Luke Nolen winning the first races in Sydney and Melbourne. James Winks didn't quite crack a win but some members might have linked him into Miss Gundowring and Monicablinco for a couple of nice quinellas.
It's good to belong. What about you?
Saturday December 29
Racing Gets Back to Normal
Rosehill has an evenly balanced card that will test punters. Saturday Punter members have the Jon Hudson team on board to see them through! Interestingly named Baadi Blasted starts the programme off. Ran a nice race on Saturday 22, but the price may not be as great this time. Jon will have a look at it.
Over to the final event and we see Lieserl entered for a quick turnaround too. She was run off the track and then KO'd last start. The quick return suggests Gai might have been expecting a win dividend.
Moonee Valley has the usual $50K programme. Michael Rodd is back in town after his overseas holiday, and Luke Nolen has a small, select book. Ultimate Bet and Final Look have both done well down south in the past. The Fonz, trained by the ultra-successful Danny O'Brien, comes back to town after a nice win. Danny's stable rider James Winks is in great form.
Doomben has some of the big fields that send members straight to the Hudson team for advice. Rest assured they will be examining the meeting in detail. Meanwhile Ascot hosts a nifty little afternoon, with the Country Challenge a star attraction.
Profitmakers had both its selections taken out last weekend. Followers will be waiting with bated breath this Saturday, as this proven winner-finding method is due to spring back into action.
Also don't forget to consider both legs of the single Daily Double pick. It hits ONE winning leg with monotonous regularity, and that more than pays its way! This could be a weekend for BOTH!!!
Happy New Year again to everyone from the team. Just on the off-chance that you are NOT a member, click over on your left at the top. That will do it!
Monday December 24
Get Ready For a Big One
We have the feeling that a big winning weekend is coming up. A quiet one is often followed by a big one. Thanks to the awful Melbourne weather, Profitmakers had both selection scratched, so our weekend was quieter than normal.
Profitmakers looked to have selected two absolute bobbydazzlers, but their connections decided another day would be better, a sure sign they were not going to risk their charges on that terrible Sandown mudheap. Keep your eye on those two horses, as they were named by this super selection scheme, Profitmakers, with a lot of confidence.
Winners to Follow gave us Takeover Target won $1.95, and before you say, "Well, didn't everyone?", the answer is:
"No they didn't". The horse was at even money($2.00) for a time. For a champion??? Not bad at all. A few brave and uninformed types actually tipped Dance Hero to roll him! It was a heart stopper, but champions prevail and our horse won.
Meanwhile Ultimate Bet found Letmeentertainyou won $4.30.
A nice result. Ultimate Bet has a been a whole-year performer.
Next weekend is the final Saturday for 2007. It's a good time to join up, if you're not already on board.
A Great New Year's resolution, maybe?
Saturday December 22
An ALL YEAR Gift
Saturday Punter is an ALL YEAR gift- have you considered giving a gift membership?
Now here's another quiet thought... what about a GIFT membership to YOURSELF?
Well, why not? The price of a cappuccino each week. Look down that left side- all the goodies, all ten of them, including the much-celebrated Sports Betting selections that often go all week and even longer.
Profitmakers- a genuine moneymaking selection service on its own.
Final Look and Ultimate Bet with their consistent winners.
And so on. Loads of profitable entertainment.
All ten areas have had their moments this past year. It's a good club to be a part of, and it's had some sensational results.
This weekend we have Randwick, Sandown, Eagle Farm, Morphettville and Ascot. There will be some great racing, especially in the exciting if small main event at Sydney (Takeover Target versus Dance Hero again).
So... Here's Merry Christmas to you (from you?).
Monday December 17
More Winners
More winners this past Saturday!
Ultimate Bet scored with Renondo Beach won $3.50.
AND Swiss Ace won $2.60, so the fifth races at both Melbourne and Brisbane were good for members.
Final Look won with Sharkbite won $4.40. A good way to go home!
Place Parlay missed the first but got the other three. One day, all four...
The one Trifecta Attack had the winner and third at 14/1. Rough luck to be split by a 30/1 horse and a short neck.
Profitmakers had a rare miss. We all know what that means for next Saturday!
Want to be with us for Chrissie? Click on your left, up the top.
Saturday December 15
Some Very Challenging Racing This Weekend
There is some interesting racing on Saturday.
We'll have three eastern venues, each with one $100K race. On face value, you'd have to think that the Rosehill event will be easiest of the three, and that the competition at Eagle Farm, given the handicap weights, will be hardest.
Flemington is back with us after the Cup carnival and the team will be very interested to assess that set of fields. The $100K event is not so much classy as tricky, and that's where members will be glad they have the Hudson team with them.
Rosehill raced well last weekend didn't it? That was very encouraging and Jon has commented that it benefited from the layoff, even though the EI is to blame!
It's getting near that festive time of year, and past experience must have told punters that things get very, very hard to follow around this time. If you're a member, that's great and you have the Saturday Punter team support; if you're not a member, be reassured that it is NOT expensive.
You know the drill: on your left, at the top. No obligation; or scroll down and see what's been happening for a long time now.
After you scroll down for the results, which could hardly be presented here week after week if they weren't telling you of winners that all members have received, ask yourself...
Can you risk one more weekend without Profitmakers?
Monday December 10
When You're On a Good Thing...
Thank heavens for Profitmakers!
So many times we have had a winner from this super plan, and yet again it came up with the goods Ultimate Risk won $4 at Rosehill.
Final Look found Code Black at $5 at Caulfield.
One to Score did score with Scoot over at Cheltenham won at $2.05.
It's getting near Christmas, and with this time come some nice but tricky races. Can you handle them or would a bit of inexpensive assistance come in handy? For only the weekly cost of a cappuccino you can join us.

Everybody is Back on Board
Doomben has $45K to $50K fields all day. After the first two races the fields are large and tricky. Maybe Jon's team will unravel one or two. The average punter would be tested!
Rosehill doesn't even match that money, with some $25K events- that's very low for a metropolitan Saturday meeting. You want large and ordinary? You've got it here!
Caulfield has at least managed to keep its head above fifty grand ($56K actually) for all races. Last start mare winners, Sensational Toy and Diamond Cove, meet in the final race; that might be an interesting affair. Anais and Star Rose also have the ability to take a hand. Jon Hudson was looking at the event this morning with more than a passing interest.
Danny O'Brien's Fabric of Dreams in the fifth hasn't had all the luck lately, whilst Mojo Pin (second race) was backed off the board last start and was the first horse beaten. Did they go in on him one race too soon?
Cheltenham can only rake up one race above $20K, and Muzdaher has gone across for that. Should be a live chance.
Ascot stages the famed Lee Steere, though, and it's worth $K126. Also there are two seventy five grand races, and, wait for it. the Kingston Town Classic at $505,000! You'd anticipate El Presidente would be favourite.
All in all, a day for the professionals, so... for the price of a cup of coffee... please join us. OK? Over there on your left, up at the top.
Monday December 3
A Good Day.
Any Winners?
One to Score- Gallant Tess won $4.20.
Ultimate Bet- Largo Lad won $2.90, Comepsa won $1.70.
Place Parlay- three or the four. Interestingly, the TAB number we gave was 2 for the final leg- it won! If you took the numbers, you'd have won $22 for every dollar. Of course we can't (and we won't) claim that, but we reckon some punters might have got lucky!
Trifecta Attack hit the first and second, but limited the third (unusual!).
Profitmakers? Well of course- but...
not ONE winner,
not TWO winners,
but THREE winners from THREE selections:
Universal Magic won $5, Comepsa won $1.70 and Gallopin won $2.30
Great plan, that one.
The open front page (this one) identified some nice winners amongst its listings too. Laura's Charm and Glory Hunter were both available at $10 in the early markets. Takeover Target got out to $2.90 at one stage. Mitanni was at $6 and better. OK for a free start?
You know what to do next.... on your left... up the top...
Saturday December 1
Welcome Back Randwick!!!
At last!
While at Randwick the Arrowfield might only have six starters, including the world champion Takeover Target, there are 91 final acceptors and a reserve for this Saturday's meeting after the EI disaster. Good racing is assured.
There are eight interesting races, food for thought for members and for the Hudson team. Caution is probably advised, but Jon might just have one or two up his sleeve early on. Be ready to strike!
Moonee Valley has an even day, with eight races each carrying the same prizemoney, in the middle band of rewards. The races are well graded and (as we always say) there are eight winners in there somewhere! Team Hudson will examine that aspect thoroughly. The Mitty's Trophy and the Paula's Choice take our early eye.
Certain horses had been reserved for the former, but then drew porrly. That will be a challenge for them and for us. The quick return of Laura's Charm is interesting in the Paula's Choice: Princess Marizza can shake her up in the final hundred metres, but she did show something last weekend for the first time this campaign. If she fails on Saturday, you'd expect her to be retired to stud.
Cheltenham is ordinary, but up north at Doomben they are letting go again, with 109 horses racing for good money including the $100,000 Kings Bloodstock Quality with Mitanniand Natural Destiny locking horns. Should be a great race, that one.
Ascot has a nice programme. The Aquanita is nicely graded, whilst the Winterbottom is about as easy as $300,000 will ever get for a horse to win. Miss Andretti's full brother Charlie Beau, the classy and ever-consistent c/d winner Glory Hunter, Fred Kersley's So Secret and dear old Grasspatch Girl head the chances. Will the team head west for a selection?
All in all, it's value for money to belong. Scroll down and have a look at everything we've done. Do you hear any long term members compaining? Know why not? Have another look below.
The results speak volumes.

Like It Is continues the trend
One thing that has remained a consistent triumph during 2007 for Saturday Punter is Profitmakers.
Week after week, month after month, even when the times have been toughest, there has nearly always been a winner for Profitmakers.
No exception last Saturday: Marveen, won at $3.90, better some places.
The other highly consistent return, more of an enigma but treasured by members, has been the Trifecta Attack. So often one of the two wins. This weekend it was Like It Is, won at $7.60.
Next weekend the races return to Sydney. THAT will really be something to look forward to, and as usual the team will have a close look at it all.

The Winners Queue Forms
The Sandown meeting features a lot of horses backing up quickly. This is because they want their last bite at the bigger cherries this time round. Trainers need winners- owners expect it.
A handful of today's entrants have had wins at the carnival, but the majority are trained by astute people who are desperate to get a win out of their various charges before things return to the normal level. Rest assured, everyone will be trying VERY hard. Most races will be bookies' charity races, with several top chances, so you'll need the experts on hand to guide you.
Members need not worry on that score. Team Hudson is as always on hand.
Meanwhile the Eclipse Stakes sees a well balanced but unspectacular field. Difficult for the amateur player, this one. Jon and the team are already at work on it.
And then we have the Group One event in Perth at Ascot.
The Railway Stakes is probably one of the easiest Group Ones you will see all season, but it also tricky because it is so evenly graded. There might be a selection; that will depend on what Jon and his select group find when they examine the entries.

Heading Towards the Christmas Rush
Soon be Christmas again.
Member?
Why not give yourself a beaut present?
Saturday:
Ultimate Bet- Just Curious. Led all the way at $5 and better.
Place Parlay- missed the first then got Just Curious, Great is Great and Like it Is, all at good place odds. Drat that fourth one, but many members would have had a nice treble at 12/1.
We've had better and bigger days- but that's the point really. Rarely a wipeout, always something comes home with the bacon.
Meanwhile the Sports Betting is intriguing. It will be interesting to see how it all ends up.
All for the cost of one cup of coffee...
Saturday November 17
A Member? Why wouldn't you be?
Are you a member?
Do you know how reasonable the cost is? We have described it as about the same as a cappuccino.
Per week, not per day.
For that you get:
News.
Ultimate Bet. A very proud record in 2007 and it's all systems go for the big Sandown meeting this weekend.
One to Score. And it does, regularly.
Daily Double. This has been an enigma, scoring with one leg so often. Members have backed both legs just to be sure, and they are doing very well.
Place Parlay. But it gets winners too! First winner last Saturday at $7.50, for example.
Trifecta Attack. Same as the DD- members have been getting good results by backing both. Why not? A profit is a profit!
Winners to Follow. A kind of personal Black Book, with diary notes and update.
Final Look. The last to be posted and often the first home.
Profitmakers. Ask any member about the consistency rating of this one!
Sports Betting. Extends your weekend.
How much again? Well, hit the how to join button, there on your left right up at the top, and find out.
You won't believe it.
Monday November 12
Home without Names
On a day when winners came home without names, Ultimate Bet fortunately went for a favourite early and played safe with the only fave of the day, Extend won $2.25. This proved to be a popular selection.
Place Parlay hit the winner of the first- Spectacular Saint at $7.50 and Extend at $2.25 in the third, but missed the other two.
Profitmakers held its end up with its usual winner- again Extend at $2.25. This was a day most punters will want to forget. Even to get these winners was something to be grateful for!
So much for Flemington and now off to Sandown. Soon back north!
Meanwhile the Sports Specials will be putting them out again. There have been some beauties in 2007 with this service and it comes at no additional cost. They are fascinating selections, with David tending to focus on golf, football (all) and every now and again some tennis, cricket, and a few surprises in the car racing world and so on.
Come on in, try it. Well priced, great coverage.
Saturday November 10
Not Quite Over...
The Carnival is Over, sang The Seekers so long ago. But not quite.
Flemington and the QE to come. A few gooduns skipped the Cup to try their luck here.
The Emirates Stakes- Now there's a race! Beautifully balanced.
The Age Classic with our two best mares head to head again. Miss Andretti? Gold Edition?
Jon, over to you and the team.
The mares will go like the clappers in the Hilton International. You would too for three hundred grand!!!
Such evenly balanced racing. Nine top events.
And for the next two weekends after that, we'll have Sandown and two of its most glorious days.
Then, in a couple of weeks, Sydney will resurface after all the horror.
We'll really need the team in those heady weeks!
Ready for the action? Scroll down, and see if you can bear to be left out!
Monday November 5
Sir Who? They Asked. What a Win!
"And Bart, never forget Bart- he has Sirmione in here as a final preparation. A pipe opener? He's always said that this horse can win the big one, so we'll need to keep an eye on it today."
TABs $88 and $78.
Look below to the previous report. Nobody else on the planet mentioned this $88 winner of the Mackinnon. Apart from our sister publication, Practical Punting Monthly, which has been championing the horse for months. True there are others mentioned, but when did you last see a line like the one above about a horse that was STILL 100/1 when the page went online?
First Four in five noms in the Derby too.
Ultimate Bet- Zacroona won $13 and Kibbutz won the Derby at $5.00.
Two from three.
Place Parlay three of four. Close again.
Not bad for a small weekly outlay?

WOW!!! What a Day!!!
Ten Races. Fantastic Races.
The SAAB is at 11.55 and it's the THIRD event, so we need to be up early. Last chance for some contenders to force their way into the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday.
By then the Carbine and the Maribyrnong will already be decided. Great races.
Then the Wakeful. Final prelude to the Oaks. The top five look the goods, but will it pan out like that?
The Coolmore- a benefit for the Hussler? Weekend Hussler is so exciting, but there are some smokies, so the team must be alert. And they will be!
And the Mackinnon. Tawqeet is hitting form, and Cup big names like Zipping and Maybe Better have their final hitouts. Then there's Haradasun. Is he a 2000 metres horse? This must be decided today. And the girls- Miss Finland, surely on trial for the Cup and (we are told) will drop out this time, and Devil Moon which ran so well last weekend. The three year old Pillar of Hercules; what chance this one?
And Bart, never forget Bart- he has Sirmione in here as a final preparation. A pipe opener? He's always said that this horse can win the big one, so we'll need to keep an eye on it today.
Then the Derby. What a field. The top half, plus Littorio, have been getting the attention. Which one is the most genuine stayer? Villain? Kibbutz? Stockade? Marching?
And the Myer. Divine Madonna will take some rolling. Bellini Rose was stiff last start. A great race.
Then the Salinger. Speedsters all. Will the track matter? Which side might be just that bit quicker? Finally the Capital Stakes, almost a quarter of a million in prizemoney for the mares and yet seemingly less significant.
WHAT A DAY! THE DAY OF DAYS. Too hard? Join the experts; just click over there on the left.
Monday October 29
Getting Closer!
Two big days gone, and the biggest to follow.
Also, Saturday's Flemington meeting is the best group meeting held all year. If it follows the pattern, it will feature three group ones, three group twos and three group threes! Any more than that is a punter's pipe dream.
The Derby and the Mackinnon will be the big two, and the team will be examining them in detail.
What do we offer?
News. Like the latest order for the Melbourne Cup as soon as it became available. Updated.
One to Score. A very proud record this year. Just ONE horse.
Daily Double. A big challenge because only ONE horse is selected in each leg.
Place Parlay. Get four of them in and the odds can be quite surprisingly pleasing. Not as easy as it looks either!
Trifecta Attack. First and second into the field. That big one is just around the corner.
Winners to Follow. An ongoing diary. Updated regularly.
Final Look. Just one, and a frequent money spinner.
Profitmakers. A big reputation plan with a lot of followers. Three placings from three picks on Saturday- annoying, but proving it is still on song.
...and of course Sports Betting, worth the few bucks a week on its own.
Where else could members get so much for so little?
Saturday October 27
So... Lucky Thirteen?
Moonee Valley Saturday. The AAMI Vase, the CPF Stakes, The ATS Stakes... all for big bikkies...
The Schweppes with lots of big fizz... the Carlton Draught with a nice head on it... the Jayco Crystal sparkling and the Inglis Mile...
Not to mention the $325,000 CPA Moonee Valley Cup!
Tricky stuff. Challenging for punters.
Oh, and there's also the Cox Plate. Regarded by many experts as Australia's finest race. And worth a mere THREE MILLION AND FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS!
Only thirteen runners.
Lucky Thirteen?
Jon Hudson and the team have been analysing this event all week. Four supermares and the cream of our males.
Want to know the winner? Members have more chance than most punters.
Evidence? Who selected the winner of the Caulfield Cup last Saturday? And that was with Maldivian still in the field, remember.
And who sent S/P punters home with a $7.30 winner of the last race?
Modesty prevents us from telling you who did that... but scroll down... then click on your left, up the top.
Cost?
Miniscule. Tiny. Cheap as chips. Amazing for what you get.
Another BIG DAY beckons. Hurry Up then... Become a part of it.
Monday October 22
A Shocking Affair But A Winner For Us
As tragic as the Maldivian affair was, our members nonetheless came out of the Caulfield Cup holding their tickets on the winner, Master O'Reilly at $9.50 less the hefty deduction. Here is what <
